Tomris Kaya was born in Ankara/Turkey in 2001, and currently lives and studies in İstanbul/Turkey. In 2023, she received an Associate of Arts in Photography from Anadolu University & in June 2025, she will obtain her B.A in Turkish Language and Literature from Boğaziçi University.
She mostly creates photographs and videos to tell her stories by exploring themes of memory, human nature and dreams.
She contributed with her photographs to the end-of-term exhibition of the “Photography Practices” workshop organized by AFSAD in September 2023.
She completed the Screenwriting and Cinema Workshop certificate programs organized by Anadolu University through distance education in 2021 and 2023.
In 2021, she worked as a Coordinator at the Boğaziçi University Photography Club and was responsible for organizing online talks with various Turkish photographers through the club during the pandemic.
